I'm sorry I made a mistake it is version 2.8 of G-ForceJayPro wrote:You'll need to update GF to 2.8. That's the only way Darkroom will work properly.
Still grayed out
Selected a Mp3 file, selected a g-force script from the included examples folder, when to select the engine and G-Force 2.8 is still grayed out.
These are all demos, I will gladly buy them if it works and outputs DV via quicktime.

Hi Blearyeyes,
To use Darkroom, you need to be using the most recent version of both G-Force (2.8) and Darkroom (1.3.6). As for selection of the "engine" you will want to select the "G-Force for iTunes.bundle" file that is located in the following folder: \Library\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins\G-Force\.
If you are interested in commercial use, please email us. Darkroom output is otherwise restricted to personal / non-commercial use as indicated in our end user license agreement.

Since it goes without saying that QT is necessary to run Darkroom, I would certainly assume that you'd need to make sure you have the latest QT build...BTW, talking to me about codecs will most likely generate a terminally puzzled facial expression similar to the one my dog makes whenever she hears my dad's voice on the answering machine and he's not in the room.Orbstah wrote:i cant remember from my old mac days but dont you need a full version of Quicktime for the dv codecs to be used ? JayPro am i on the wrong track again m8 ?
I'm not sure whether you'd need QT Pro or the plain-Jane version only, tho. Maybe that's not important.

I'm sorry for all the confusion guys but I am a pro video producer and I have QT pro on this system along with Final Cut Pro.
ALL I really need to know is why would the G-Force iTunes plug-in be grayed out when I try to select it from within the Darkroom application?
If we could figure that behaviour out then I could try out this application and at that point we could talk about using it or not in video production.
But it is premature to discuss your license agreement if I cant get it to work? Ya think?
i tried to select the bundle but maybe that was before I updated it to from 2.7 to 2.8? I'll try it again.
