Screen Capture size

Post by Welles »

I'm using an older Apple Cinema Display as my primary monitor, resolution 1600 x 1024. When I use the default screen capture utility in G-Force Gold, the captures are always 1/2 the pixel dimensions of my screen. Is there a pref somewhere to adjust so I get a full screen size captured image?

Thanks

For starters perhaps you can match the FS_X and FS_Y parameters to your respective screen dimensions? I'm not quite sure, though, if G-Force can support full screenage of the size you have.

Thankyou, JayPro I'll give it a try shortly and post back. I just had to renew my G-Force Gold yearly subscription and have yet to download the new version though my new serial number arrived within an hour of payment (as advertised :D )

JayPro,

Well, you were on the right track. I had chosen a screen resolution to 800 x 512 and it filled the screen so I thought I had set the resolution at 1600 x 1024 (Duh! That's why I was getting the 1/4 size screen captures).

When I double checked the resolutions (m) the option for 1600 x 1024 was available so I selected that (8 bit color). Peculiarly G-Force was no longer filling the screen vertically. There was the base color across the whole screen but the imagery was letterboxed top and bottom. A screen capture yielded an image 1600 x 768. I checked the preferences file and FS settings were indeed 1600 x 1024 so now I'm perplexed by the 768 vertical compression. Any ideas?

By the way, thank you for your assistance. I appreciate it.
