A suggestion for a new file in the G-force install.

Post by Ben David »

Now I may have been using your products for a while now; however, unlike Whitecap it is a little less obvious to figure out what the presets in the toolbar actually cause g-force to do. It would be nice if you all could include a read me file (preferably in PDF with images) that has an explination of some the pre-set options in the toolbar and what they do, as well as some example combinations of various settings and what their results should be.

I thought a lot of the configs had discriptions in them that told you what some codes were doing ? DO they not do this any more. I'll have a look myself when I get home
I'll come to bed once i've seen everything in G-Force.

A *lot* of the config files, or more precisely, the *effect* files, have shalshed-out commentary that documents what parts of the code within certain effects actually do. However, most of this is done--I would assume--by people who maybe aren't as well-versed with effect coding as others. This is why the majority of effect files don't have any commentary, i.e. at least rudimentary understanding of the GF code is more or less presupposed.
It can still be done. It's just that IMO more of it should be done by expert coders who might harbor the mistaken notion that effect scripters (sp?) know the code forwards and backwards.
