On screen display/controls

Hello, I have had a search of the forums and this was mentioned a while ago but I wonder if there is any update to allowing control of the settings/scenes with out having the on screen settings show up or having the output mirrored but only having the controls on screen 1.
Im disappointed big time that when I change anything the controls show up on the image Im projecting. It seems like an obvious feature and I hope Im doing something wrong?
Just had a thought, do any of the other soundspectrum products have the same functions as Aeon with a solution for controling and not showing the text and menus?

Hello Gforrest15
When you're using Aeon and see a visual combination that you want to see again at a later time, do the following to write the current visual configuration to a script. First, press SHIFT+W to tell Aeon that you'd like to write out a script, and then press a key that you'd like to write the script as. For example, if you press SHIFT+W and then press 'X', you'll see a message saying that a script named "Key X" has been written. To recall that script at a later time, press SHIFT+R and then 'X'. Aeon will look for a script named "Key X" and will attempt to run it.
Alternatively, to run scripts named "CTRL X", simply press CTRL+X. To write the current visual combination to a script named "CTRL X", press SHIFT+CTRL+X. NOTE: since CTRL-based keystrokes aren't passed to Aeon under iTunes, certain CTRL keystrokes will have no effect. So if you're using iTunes, you must instead use the SHIFT+W/R method above for writing and running scripts.
Note that although SHIFT+W (and SHIFT+CTRL+X) writes the current visual configuration to a script that reproduces the visuals at a later time, realize that SHIFT+R (and CTRL+X) can be used to run any script. This means that you can author your own custom scripts, save them as "Key X" (or "CTRL X"), and then run them easily from within Aeon.

Thanks for the advice, Im using the standalone version, does using a script show up on screen as the other controls or are they discrete?

Hello Gforrest15
To the best of my knowledge this will only show on screen in the top left corner as simple text, and I believe this would only happen if you have chosen to have Verbose Mode on.

Thanks again for the info, unfortunately I thought the software would have a control window seperate from the output instead of having text and menus popping up on my projection when I want to change a setting.

Hello Gforrest15
You could contact SoundSpectrum using the link below, select the General option, and suggest your idea as an additional feature in the next version of Aeon.

You can turn verbose mode on or off with " \ " key that way you dont have the text running at the top of your vis window.
I know what you mean, I like the G-force toolbar because you can make changes on the fly from another screen. Aeon has the onscreen menu which is ok but it doesnt give you extended options of a separate tool bar. The new G-force will do away with the tool bar and have this same onscreen menu as Aeon and I am not into it but there is nothing I can do about it except sticking with a version that has the toolbar.

Going by the feedback I have received many,
nay MOST will be doing exactly the same as you.

Cheers, will try with Verbose off, would you say that G Force would be more what Im looking for then with its toolbar control then, I see that there is no option to demo the standalone. Thanks for the answers, very helpful.

G-Force is very cool! I have tried all the others and G-Force wins hands down. right now it still comes with a tool bar so get it before its gone.

Hello Gforrest15
I suggest you follow juxtiphi's advice and order the Platinum version of G-Force NOW before SoundSpectrum change the GUI. I would also agree with juxtiphi that G-Force is streets ahead of other visualisation programs.
