Terrible Aeon performance on MacBook Pro
I am using MacBook Pro 15" with 8 gb ram, 2 Ghz Core i7 processor, AMD Radeon HD 6490M 256 MB. But Aeon is continously crashing and froozing my laptop. How can I get better performance? Most of the recommendations can't apply to Mac OS x Lion. I am very regretful to purchase Platinium for 24 USD.

I'm having very similar issues, but I'm not running anything in a VM. I have a Roku 2 XS streaming from a Windows Plex daemon on a quadcore 3.2Ghz with 4GB of RAM. Both are wired on 100MBit so this is plenty of bandwidth and CPU.
I haven't tested with SD, but with HD content, it tends to play about 10-15 min fine, and then the video and audio start to hiccup until it eventually goes into a black "Retrieving" screen at which point it sits there forever. If I back out and click Resume Video, it will resume just fine where it left off for another 10-15 min. While inconvenient, this has been bearable to do this everytime. I just assumed this was a bug in the current plex channel. I don't know what version I have but I installed it about a week ago.
