Automated License code email delivery broken

Post by ozbeats »

G'day all,

Just renewed my AEON Platinum license online and the automated license code email delivery service is broken,
or should I state... still broken since I renewed by G-Force license months ago. I received no email from SS.

No emails are being sent or received for license renewals so one would assume this is the same for new customers as well,
It needs to be fixed, good and proper, so that it functions as expected and people aren't left in the lurch once they purchase or renew licenses.

I hope this helps and reaches Andy in a timely manner,

Thanks, Alf Penny :)

P.S. Yes, I will need my new license code sent to me please.
Hopefully this won't be a problem in the foreseeable future.

Hi ozbeats

I'm sure BTT will send Andy an email about this for you and get things going.

Cheers!

Hello ozbeats

Apologies for this issue, it's been an ongoing problem which as you say should be fixed URGENTLY. There are many things going on behind the scenes including plans for a new forum, updating the web site which is very much out of date, and solving the problems with the server (licence code). Why is it taken so long you may well ask. Reason:- SoundSpectrum came very close to total collapse. Andy is working solo to get things up and running again, the biggest problem being finance. He has shared with me several ideas for the future of SoundSpectrum including a brand new project which I understand will bring all the current visualisations together working across all platforms which is proving to be more difficult than he envisaged. I believe there will also be a new payment method. I am as frustrated as all SoundSpectrum customers regarding the length of time it's taking to get things up and running again, however, remember it is just Andy on his own and it's impossible for him to deal with everything. Hope this explains the current situation. I have today sent an email asking him to send you a licence code at the earliest.
.
Regards BTT

Hi mate,

Always happy to help long-time and passionate supporters of this software. As you know, you'll get a guaranteed response if you open a ticket with your problem -- these forums aren't the best for immediate attention. This said, I've sent you an email with your Aeon key.

Please give BTT and juxtiphi a kind thanks for pointing me to your post -- they selflessly volunteer their time to help with these forums so that I have a fighting chance to keep this software shipping. Thanks again fellas!

Andy

Hi Andy,

The license code arrived and from what I can see there are many projects needing attention, so I imagine you'd be run off of your feet.

I cannot offer much but did learn how to do some web coding, WordPress, promotions, paid and free advertising and affiliate marketing around a decade ago. I have some experience in HTML 3, 4 and 5, part taught by online marketers and stacks self-taught as well, some CMS, FTP knowledge, etc.

To my best knowledge if the new SS website and forum are created with a responsive design it will work via viewport on any pc, laptop or mobile. No need for a second mobile version necessarily. There may or may not be the option to post on higher education noticeboards for coders, even if they're voluntary and do it for the credits.

Huge thankyou to BTT and juxtiphi who have been here since the dawn of time assisting, helping and responding at any time day or night.
The forum is our lifeblood, and I am grateful we have excellent moderators dedicating their time and efforts and keeping out the spammers.

Thanks all once again,

Alf Penny
