G-Force Message
I'm showing a message stating there is an update and I have the current version. Can you help? Thanks.
Re: G-Force Message
For Free Trial users, all you need to do is to go to the SoundSpectrum website and click Download Free Trial. For Gold/Platinum users, if an update is available, go to the SoundSpectrum support website, go to Downloads & Updates, enter your email address and license code, and then click on the installer link to download, depending on your operating system.Greg wrote:I'm showing a message stating there is an update and I have the current version. Is this something you mentioned?
Hello Greg
You are getting that message because there is a new version of G-Force available - version 5.8.1
Click on this link:- http://www.soundspectrum.com/support/
Go to the Downloads and Update page, enter your email address and your licence code to download the latest version.
DanPIn - where did Greg mention anything about the free version???

Greg is in fact 100% correct,
I'm currently using 5.8.1 and still seeing the 'updated version available' when running any instance of G-Force.
Initially I clicked it and downloaded it again to find it is still the current version (5.8.1) I already have installed.
Maybe it's a server error or it's not recognizing the difference between version 5.8.0 and 5.8.1....
or
Maybe it's that GF 5.8.1 hasn't been added to the current version released database, or it is recognising 5.8.1 as 5.8.0 and offering the update regardless..... definitely some sort of mix up there
Thanks, Alf

Hi yall!
Looks like I made a mistake on the backend and should be fixed now. On some systems, it may show that message until the next time it checks for an update (7 days by default). alternatively, one can delete your prefs file.
it's easiest to disable check for updates for a week (until which it will check and not get an incorrect version number thanks to my mistake).
Thanks for bearing with us!
