.Map Palettes Question

Post by JayPro »

Is there any way that the now-obsolete .map format could be translated into something readable by the GF processor?

Maybe there's an app that can take the code and extrapolate that to a .png file?

 :?:

Hello JayPro

Not that I am aware of. I use a custom written program to create my ColorMaps. AOM is thinking of completely changing the method of creating ColorMaps, it may happen, maybe not.

To all other members.

Please don't ask me any questions about this as I do not have the answers.
.

For me, I'm using GIMP to get the .MAP files (in which they contain the string "GIMP Palette"), which to me was a big alternative to the 16-bit MakeMAP. It was useful to convert specific .MAP files into PNG, but done one color by one.
