I am needing to put together a 12 volt pc for a very limited purpose and I am looking for advice on the simplest solution that will work for me.
I am remodeling a former prison transport bus into a party bus. We are installing an Alpine system in the bus to allow music from iPod, etc. as well as DVD playback, etc. We are installing a couple of flat screens as well. Since the majority of the time we will be playing music only, I want to have some music visualizations on the tv sets to add ambiance. It looks like the best way to go is Soundspectrum G-Force in standalone mode.
I will just run audio in from the audio system and connect it to a second input on the tv sets so we can have the visualizations running on the screens.
That's all this will ever need to do. I want something that I can ideally run without an inverter and just turn on and go. Want to boot straight into G-Force. No keyboard or other input attached once configured. Set it and forget it as much as possible.
Video card is probably a factor. What would you recommend? Can anyone recommend a net book or small form factor pc they have used with g-force that would perform well in this application?
Suggestions needed for hardware in this application
