Default Theme in Windows Media Center

Post by rickgnyc »

Hi All,

I've created and saved a theme using the toolbar, but cannot seem to find a setting in "Preferences (Windows Media Center).txt" that allows me to specify a default theme to use in Media Center.

I tried using VisualPreset to no avail. I even tried pasting-in the setting "Theme.Name" from the Toolbar Preferences file, but still no luck.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

I dont have media center installed but I do have WMP and I see no problems accessing the custom themes I have created.

themes are seen in the toolbar at the bootm where it says themes create a theme and save it then restart GF and it should be there all mine are

Hi juxtiphi,

Unfortunately, it works differently under Windows Media Center. As you said, when using Windows Media Player the G-Force Toolbar loads and automatically uses the last Theme you selected, but in Media Center the toolbar doesn't load, and neither does the last theme you used in Media Player. It simply uses the all-inclusive, generic theme instead.

Does anyone have any ideas?

:(

Hi rickgnyc

In Windows Media Center/Vista click restore down (next to minimize)...pull up G-Force toolbar from ALL Programs. Set your preference and you're good to go. Preference change in Media Player will now apply to Media Center, Media Monkey etc.. Hope this helps
