Audio Input Screen Saver Microphone on MAC OS X 10.4.5 (G4)

I would like the g-force screen saver to react on the build in microphone which works fine with the stand alone.
I have checked the FAQs and found out that I need to set the stand alone to microphone than check the A_in Value in the stand alone preferences and put this as the value for the screensaver.

But doing this I get an error message: "Error opening preffered audio input device"

What do have to do?
