Standalone not recognizing audio input

I have the latest version of Goldwave and am using Vista.

The first time I opened the Standalone, it said something to the effect of "Error loading prefered audio input". Now, the only options I have for audio input are Sound Generators.

This can't be an issue of hardware, because other programs acknowledge the input (such as Audacity), yet Goldwave doesn't.

Any ideas?
