This is free??
I noticed the Holiday Whitecap, but did not realize regular Whitecap was free.
I like it!! If I knew Whitecap was free, I would've tried it a long time ago!!
(This coming from a G-Force platinum member)

Yeah, WhiteCap is free[for private use anywayz]. (aside from the Holiday, SpecialEditions, which seem to be no longer available - even to Platinum users) WhiteCap is one of the "original" visualizations... And in my opinion, still one of the best. G-Force is cool, but WhiteCap still has a way of producing those wire-frame landscapes that can make you feel like your flying over or through tunnels... With hills and terrain appearing with the beat. i like.
I hope WhiteCap gets it's due attention from SoundSpectrum soon, and we get a big update for us Platinum users...

The crazy thing is that WhiteCap 5 has been almost ready to go for months, but has been sidelined while we get G-Force fully stabilized. Like G-Force, WhiteCap 5 leverages OpenGL and VectorC, so the performance and look is a really sharp step up from WhiteCap 4, not to mention new features that we've added.markofkane wrote:I think Whitecap is under-rated. I like G-Force, but Whitecap is great too!!
You can bet that as the problem reports start to trickle down with G-Force, we'll be able to finally push WhiteCap 5 out the door. The other good news, of course, is that we're nearing the homestretch for our other new project, nitrogen. We'll be soliciting beta testers not too long from now.

Exciting news! (The ready-to-go part, not the sidelined part) I check the boards frequently, and quite honestly get a little frustrated myself when a new "problem" post appears in the G-Force forum... Especially when I can't see or reproduce the same problem others have had. And also since I know it's been slowing down WhiteCap developement. The crazy thing is that WhiteCap 5 has been almost ready to go for months, but has been sidelined while we get G-Force fully stabilized.

Re: support
the plugin asigns itself to what ever "player" you choose and only the player. if you want WC or GF to listen to another source for audio you need the standalone.yangjin wrote:whitecap or other products cant spport the Resource vioce input (mac) as the media player plug-in?
open the standalone and right click the screen look for audio input and then see if the voice input is listed there. if you dont see then WC or GF cannot listen to that source.
