My normal method of updating G-Force is to keep my previous configs until they prove they won't work anymore. Recently I was wanting to check out the new Gold configs by Andy, and so I used the toolbar to select them from a [Macintosh] Finder window open to the actual files and their names.
I noticed that these waveshapes don't show up in the toolbar:
2001.txt
Attitude.txt
Axle.txt
Curvature.txt
Helopad.txt
Lunar Landing.txt
Now Playing.txt
One Moon Circling.txt
Pillar Walk.txt
Predator Vision.txt
Raining Oscilliscopes.txt
Rays of Light.txt
Sectors.txt
Self-destruct.txt
Spin Me.txt
I assume they don't show up because they aren't compatible with the new G-Force engine. But all the configs in that Gold folder had the same creation date (when I last did an upgrade). So to make sure they weren't leftovers due to my updating procedure, I decided to check the latest installer using Pacifist. But when I looked at the installer's contents, it has no configs. Apparently if you're updating (using your serial number) yo are linked to a download of only the new parts (in this case a new Stand alone and Toolbar and Vbar. If I were downloading a recent purchase, I probably would be linked to a whole set: iTunes plug-in, config folder, etc.
So I'm wondering if anyone has a pristine recent install without any older configs in it that aren't part of the latest version. If so, are the above waveshapes, which reside i the Gold folder, there; and if so, do they work?
On a secondary note: if my hard drive were to crash and I would need to reinstall G-Force, how wold I ever be able to do it, if the current installer only has updated parts and not the whole package?
