Just wondering if these fields in the G-Force interface are supposed to be empty by default. Each field has a drop-down arrow but there's nothing in any of them. The sliders next to them don't appear to do anything.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks ~ John

if you have any kind of virus protection running or any program thats blocking GF access to the internet will cause you to see nothing within the toolbar fields.nzo wrote:Just wondering if these fields in the G-Force interface are supposed to be empty by default. make sure GF has access to the internet and all the lights will light up imediately.
I had the same problem usung the plugin for winamp a while back, because I was using a spyware program that was blocking winamp the toolbar was also blocked as soon as I turned it off all was better.
and it was Andy that brought the fix to my attention.
hope this helps
Many thanks juxtiphi
Many thanks juxtiphi, I appreciate your help.
I'm super careful about what connects to and from the internet and I'm just wondering what G-Force needs to connect to when it appears to be a stand-alone program?
Thanks again

I asked the same question and this was the responce.
G-Force and the G-Force Toolbar use the network layer to communicate. Other than that, G-Force will go to soundspectrum-updates.com (if you if 'check for updates' enabled). Other than that, there's no non-local network use. It's on our to-do list to implement inter-process communication (to replace use of the network layer), and this is scheduled before Jan-Feb. Unfortunately, this new age of malware has made apps that make legitimate use of the network layer evil by association. If want to disable G-Force listening on the network, set Net=0 in your global prefs (but the toolbar won't be able to connect).
i have this problem as well...
How can I make sure GF is connecting to the internet? I have read everything in this forum about the toolbar not having any options on changing colors and speed, all that stuff, and I still cannot fix that problem. Can anyone please help me?
