I just notice today that the final version of 3.5.7 has been posted. The installer consists of the updated applications (toolbars, stand alone) but does not contain any config files. Is this the way it is intended?
The reason I ask is that one of the "what's new in this version" points was new configs from Rainer. But no configs are included. The installer does not overwrite my previously installed configs, which is good; but if I wanted to do a fresh install, or were a new user, I wouldn't have any waveshapes, flowfield, etc.
3.5.7 upgade applications only?

Upon closer delving into the installer package contents, I realize that the G-Force installer didn't update anything—not the iTunes plugin or the toolbars. It left everything previously installed intact. So I went back to the old way of installing—manually— and found all the missing configs, etc.
Hrm, I'm not following... If you delete your G-Force folder and then run the installer, you'll see that it installs everything again. Maybe you're looking at an old copy of G-Force that you manually dragged into your *system* Application Support folder (instead of your *user* Application Support folder).willrob wrote:Upon closer delving into the installer package contents, I realize that the G-Force installer didn't update anything—not the iTunes plugin or the toolbars. The new installer does contain the new engine files, but they're not int he pax.gz format (they're in the folder /Contents/Resources/INSTALLFILES/). We had to do this because Apple's standard package support doesn't allow you to target a user's home folder (we have a custom script that moves items in this folder to the user's App Support folder).
Anyway, to ensure that you don't have any old stuff, I recommend that trash all your G-Force folders and then run the 3.5.7 installer.
