iTunes 7 problem?

Post by nuytsia »

Hi,

Just a quick post to say that I've had a little trouble after upgrading iTunes7.
For some reason the music playback whilst trying to run GForce grinds down to a stuttering mess.
I'm running on a Dell Inspiron 6000 with 1GB of Ram and Windows XP.

I uninstalled 7 and went back to 6.0.5 and (after a brief hiccup about music library version incompatibilities) have got GForce running very nicely once again.

Any other PC iTunes users experience something similar?

iTunes is mostly full of bugs with every update

And seemingly more of 'em with each subsequent public release.

My guess is that

1) Andy, Key and Anton's trying to keep abreast of all the endless iTunes glitches

plus

2) the continuing work into making the visuals fully operational for our PC brethren

are the big things that keep work on the improved WhiteCap and the Nitrogen beta on hold.

iTunes 7 and GForce problems

Thanks for that guys.

I guess this will all be resolved in time.

At present I'm sticking with iT6.
Interestingly an early reveiw on CNet gave it a good panning for being so processor intensive. This now appears to have been "ahem" moderated to a more "great features, but your computer might run like a slug". The reader ratings are a little harsher.
