Standalone not working with MME drivers

Post by diamondjim »

Andy, et al.

I just purchased and installed G-Force Platinum on my Win XP Pro system.

I have an RME Fireface 800 audio interface which normally runs ASIO drivers. I can see the visualizations respond when I play a WAV file in Windows Media Player 10, which uses the MME drivers, but when I play directly out of Sonar or Wavelab, the stand-alone just chugs along without any specific response.

I tried changing Wavelab to use Fireface Analog MME 1+2 output, and made the corresponding changes in the standalone, but no dice. I tried each of the analog input options and none seem to do anything.

I connected a mic to the #7 input channel on the RME, verified that I am getting signal in the digital mixer, then set the input on the standalone to Fireface Analog MME 7+8, cranked up the input gain, but nothing.

Adjusting the preamp scale also has not effect, but I should not have to do this right?

Are you planning any ASIO support for the standalone version?

Any other suggestions?
