I have just bought G-Force 3 Platinum and am blown away by how fantastic it is. Using it in iTunes I can literally just sit there for hours. Awesome stuff indeed.
I have one minor problem though When using the stand-alone or v-bar applications I am unable to use any line input device. It just doesn't appear on the drop down list in the stand-alone app and when opening v-bar I receive an error message stating the there was an error opening the preferred audio device. iTunes and media player work perfectly. It would be nice to have the other parts of the program work just as well.
I have a Sony Vaio VGB-BX196SP. This has a Realtek ALC260 high definition chipset on the motherboard. I am not sure what other information you would need but please let me know and I'll send it straight away.

In the standalone you can hit Shift-A to cycle thru the possible input devices and thru the three built-in waves. If you find an input that works exit out of G-Force and the toolbar and that should save out your settings.
If it doesn't work when you go back in then I don't know....
the problem is that i only have the 3 psudeo audio inputs as a choice. i am not able to select any actual physical audio input device. my laptop only has one audio source and this is set as the preferred option in the control panel applet. i just don't know why this doesn't appear as an option in the v-bar and stand-alone apps yet itunes and media player seem to work fine.
In the standalone you'll hafta access the Prefs file for that particular "arm" of G-Force.
You'll see a parameter called A_in which has a default of -1. This means that your internal mike, if you have one, will be the vehicle whereby GF picks up sound.
Then again, if I'm wrong, I'm not sure what the workaround for laptops is.
I just bought a Vaio, with Realtek audio, and the standalone gives the same error. It was fine with HP and Gateway, but I had the same problem on a Dell imspiron. Did you ever get it to work?
