During operation, whilst running WMP 64-bit flavour....

Then again if it cannot be replicated maybe it was more to do with my setup, at the time.

I had updated my Intel RST drivers to the current version that itself was quite buggy (system, sound and screen freezes and jitter), and therefore reverted back to a previous version.

Will test it again and see if it re-occurs..... any further issues or updates I'll post in this topic again soon...

Thanks Andy and BTT

UPDATE:

Tried Whitecap again on WMP x64

Worked alright for 4 minutes and then, WMP froze briefly before closing / crashing WMP instantly whilst running Whitecap for WMP x64 bit version.

Here's TWO more Reliability crash error reports todays WMP crash:

Both of these reports were as a result of one instance of WMPx64 and Whitecap x64 plugin running after cold crashing.... not just the plugin but the program (Windows Media Player 64-bit) running the plugin.

Hope this helps some more, fingers crossed ;)

Thanks in Advance for your help on this guys

According to REPORT NUMBER ONE, Exception Code 0xc0000005 (STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION) usually means you are experiencing a segmentation fault in the software; that is, WMP is trying to write to memory where it is not allowed to write to (particularly a read-only segment in the code). In the second report, Exception Code 0xc000041d can indicate an "unknown hard error". Nevertheless, 0xc000041d is the error code which is not documented on the list of NTSTATUS values on the MSDN Library.

If these are the cases, there is something wrong with WhiteCap's internal binary code which probably contains a bug in one of the lines. Behalf of this it is not too specific that both WMP and WhiteCap keep crashing because of a read-write failure.

I'm hoping that SoundSpectrum could investigate the issue.

Thanks DanPin, your help is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't affect Aeon or G-Force visualizers in WMP x64, so maybe SS can spot the differences.

Cheers mate ;)
