I am running G-Force with J River Media center on a computer running Windows XP. The other day a friend of mine did some "organizing" of files on my computer and as a result G-Force no longer will play in MC. It appears as an option, but clicking it does nothing. Upon investigation I found that the toolbar is blank. How can I fix this?

you should reinstall G-Force but if the toolbar is still blank then you need to let it have access to the internet, once thats done the toolbar should lite up again.
the toolbar communicates with the G-Force vis window via TCP connection if G-force cannot manage a connection the toolbar will not light up.
The main cause for this in the past has been a program called bonjour which comes bundled with apple software. remove this program or stop it from starting up in windows services and the tool bar should light up again.

I can't re-install. Is there any other way of re-establishing the connection?
I don't have Bonjour installed on my computer.
Thanks!
why cant you re-install?
as for the connection, make sure your buddy didnt change your firewall settings, even though the toolbar wont access the internet it needs to be allowed to follow its TCP route to the vis window.
and in the past I have had a lot of people tell me that they didnt have bonjour installed in their computer and it turns out they were wrong.
often times bonjour will install silently without the user even knowing as it comes bundled with a lot of different software.
bonjour is supposed to help facilitate communication between programs but it all ways stops the toolbar from doing its thing and when its uninstalled the toolbar comes right back.

Hi, Nemea. Please note that the G-Force Toolbar will only populate its various fields if it can connect to a running copy of the G-Force visualizer. Since you are unable to launch GF within JRMC then the Toolbar has nothing to connect to and, hence, will be blank. If you have a Platinum copy of GF, you might test this by launching GF within, say, WMP and then launching the Toolbar. You'll most likely see the Toolbar fields populated again.
As for your issue with getting GF to display in JRMC, what version are you running? There are some reports that G-Force is either not being recognized or cannot be launched within the new JRMC 15 beta that has recently been released. As I'm sure you can understand, since this version is still in beta development, SoundSpectrum will not test or address compatibility with this version until it is officially released. Though, in the JRMC forums a few people have posted possible workarounds which involve editing your Windows registry. Of course, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
I checked Add/Remove programs and Bonjour did not appear there.
I tried running G-Force in WMP and it worked fine.
I will ask him if he fiddled with my firewall, but I think what he mostly did was organize my start menu items into folders and click off a bunch of stuff in Autoruns. I looked there and couldn't see anything elating to G-Force. Is there something else I should look for there?
