Hello to everyone.
I am looking for a visualizations solution for my band. It needs to be reliable and generate compelling visuals that respond to music via line-in.
I've downloaded the trial versions of G-Force, Whitecap and Soft Skies (Windows XP - SP 2 + Winamp) and found them each to be interesting in a few ways. Whitecap and Soft Skies interfaces seemed to work as expected providing control over the presentations pretty easily.
G-Force, on the other hand, wouldn't load either tool bar and didn't seem to offer as much control over the visualizations. I am assuming the toolbars are where the magic happens, but since they didn't load I just don't know.
Long story short, I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone who is using any of these products for their live band performances. Do these product do it for you? Are you pleased with their performance? Would you recommend them (all? any?).
I appreciate any information you'd like to share!

The tool bar needs to communicate with the G-force vis window, it does this via tcp. the most common reason for the toolbar not to work is an apple program called bonjour.
if you have ever installed itunes or any other apple app for wondows chances are that bonjour is stopping the toolbar from working.
check your comp for bonjour then either disable it or uninstall it completely this will not effect the way itunes works. once bonjour is out of the way the GF toolbar should work
