iTunes & g-force: raise height limit to 900?

Post by rapanuy »

Hi.
I have g-force running with iTunes 7.x (Win XP SP2) on a 17" monitor (1280x1024).
g-force runs within iTunes sized BIG (not fullscreen),
sized to frame height limit (Auto), which equals 800.

Therefore I have 2 black bars within the iTunes window.

Sizing to height 1000 is "too" much.
How can I size to 900?
Edit some boot.txt or pref.txt?

Thx,
Mike

open the prefs text and change the FS x and FS y parameters to fit your screen. if that doesnt work do the same to the max x and max y settings

you can find the prefs file in DOCUMENTS and SETTINGS go in your folder and look in the application data then in the soundspectrum folder you should see the prefs files.

Thx, that works. Sized were FS_y=768 MaxY=0.

Now:
FS_x=1024
FS_y=880
FSmo=0.009998
FRge=1
TTxt=1
MaxX=0
MaxY=880

One other question if you don´t mind:

Why is the FS_x=1024

Should´t it be 1280 (my resolution)?

Hi there.
Let me add a question. I´m now on a 22" 1650x1050 resolution LCD.

Now above question where the black bars within iTunes.

Now: what is to change for the FullScreen Blackbars?

Thx,
Mike

open the toolbar then look in the visualization prefs and make sure that frame height and limit are set to no limit. then match the resolution to your tv.

if that doesnt work shut of GF and go to C:documents and settings /your user name /application data folder, there you will find another sound spectrum folder in it you will find the prefs files for what ever players you have installed.

look to the max x and max y and change them to this

MaxX=10000
MaxY=10000

and restart gf and the black bars should be gone.

this is how I have mine set

Thx alot, I went via the toolbar. Tried that before, but for some reason it didn´t connect to iTunes.
After my question I killed everything within my firewall, then it worked again..

Thx,
Mike
