Winamp 5.5 + GFP = Driving me crazy!

Post by xddd »

An excellent product, very happy until I decided to change to Winamp 5.5. XP Pro Service pack 2 no virus, malware, adware, etc, hangs winamp when start visualization (ctrl+k). Reinstalled beta GF no solutions. Reinstalled winamp over 10 times and still having problems :(. Please help me and sorry for my bad english, I'm from Venezuela.

Downgrade to 5.4 still no luck. It just hangs Winamp :(. WMP11 Works perfectly but Winamp doesn't

do a complete uninstall of GF and delete all soundspectrum folders from your computer then clean your registry, restart and reinstall GF. you need to delete the soundspectrum folder found in your documents application data folder.

what folders did you delete? there are 2 one is in your program files and the other is in your documents\application data\soundspectrum. this is the important folder to delete.

I use winamp all the time and have no probs with GF .

By the way, keep in mind, also, that with Winamp (v5.54 or otherwise) when you start G-Force under Winamp via Winamp's visualization Start/Stop feature G-Force...OPENS ITS OWN VISUALIZATION WINDOW and it may be hidden underneath your current copy of Winamp that you have open. Yes, that means your VISUALIZATION tabbed screen under (or within) Winamp WILL BE BLANK and it will look like it is NOT being shown but if you use the (ALT+TAB) function under Windows' Operating System you will be able to display and show the G-Force window. You see, it might be running correctly and you did not know it! :!: :!: :!:
