FIXED!!-Can´t change manualy Waveshapes+Colormaps+Flowfields

Post by Toxicaudio »

Hi,

I´ve just bought G-Force and White Cap.

When I run G-Force in Media Player 11 , I can´t change the Waveshapes;Flowfield or Colormaps manualy.Also , when I run G-Force in Standalone mode.

All dropdownmenus are empty!

I´m running WinXP Prof. SP2 /Norton Internet Security2008.I turned of the Firewall, but it doesn´t help. So,I tried to install G-Force on my second PC with Kaspersky Internet Security-same results.

Any idea??

Thanks

If the drop-down fields are empty within the G-Force Toolbar, then something (such as a firewall) is stopping G-Force from connecting with the G-Force Toolbar.

To help explain why this is the case, please know that the G-Force visualizer is actually a different application from the G-Force Toolbar. As such, they run independent of each other and they use basic internet protocols (TCP/IP) to connect with each other. If G-Force is working and the Toolbar loads, but the drop-down menus don't populate with data, then the problem is that SOMETHING is blocking the two applications for communicating with each other. First step is to check your firewall software. Second step is to check Windows Firewall (which may also be running in the background). Third step, if you are still having problems, is to contact SoundSpectrum support.

Hi keycompton,

thanks for your reply.

I´ve checked all Firewall settings in Norton and in the Windows Firewall.
I´ve turned off each firewall. But the problem still occurs.

I´ll send an email to the support team.

Thanks

once your GF instalation has a problem you need to uninstall it and delete all traces of GF from your computer. especially the folder containing the prefs files which is located in your documents and settings/application data/soundspectrum folder.

once there is a conflict between any of the old prefs and the new, stuff like this happens.

try the uninstall, delete the folders with the prefs then use a registry cleaner to remove outdated reg keys then restart and try installing again.

this has helped many GF users get back on track.

I´ve already uninstalled GF 3 times and clean the registry also 3 times.

Also, I deleted all GF folders in "documents and settings/application data".

This is really strange....

 juxtiphi: your hint was the right way!

I have uninstalled the complete "Bonjour" Folder and it works now!

If somebody is using Adobe CS3 Products, here is how to uninstall the Folder:

Enter at the commandoline:
"C:\Programs\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe -remove"
After that, you have to rename the "mdnsNSP.dll" file ,which is in the C:\programs\bonjour" folder.
Reboot the computer.
Delete the whole "Bonjour" folder.
That´s it.

Thanks and regards
