Waveshape, colormap and flowfields

Post by frame »

There was a day when my G-force worked 100% but something changed, I can't chose the Waveshape, colormap and flowfields. When I click on one of those three option in the toolbar, there's no name/file to click on to manually chose the visualisation. Is it only a setting problem ? :?:

when you dont see anything in the toolbar it means there is something blocking the Toolbar from connecting to GF. like a firewall, antivirus or maybe apples bonjour service which was recently reported to cause a problem with GF

reinstalling may help

First uninstall GF then delete both soundspectrum folders one is located in documents and setting/user name/application data/soundspectrum and the other is located in your program files.

make sure you delte all traces of GF from your computer empty your recycle bin and clean your registry if possible and restart then reinstall GF.

this has helped many others with this problem.

yeah but did you just reinstall GF over the previous one or did you do what I said and delete all traces of GF from your computer.? overwriting the old install with a new one will not correct anything.

if you've done that then try this for bonjour

Go to [Start > Run] and type the following command and hit OK.

"C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe" –remove

Go to [Start > Run] again and type the following command and hit OK.
regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mdnsNSP.dll"

After you restart, you can safely delete the Bonjour folder without errors.

found this info on the web so take it with a grain of salt if you uninstall bonjour and other programs end up not working dont blame me :D

Run

Post by frame »

I did do what you told me to but it seems bonjour won't be deleted that easily. I wrote both the commands in the Run and I restarted and I couldn't delete it....I'll again but I don't think it's going to work. It's like trying to get another anwser from the same caculation...

1+1=2 and try to get it = to 3.....

ok

there is a program called move on boot download it and install, this program will remove any unwanted files or exes before they have a chance to even start up. install this program and find the bonjour exe and then choose to delete check ok do not reboot yet

NEXT open your msconfig by typing that into run then open the services tab look there or in the startup tab to see if bonjour is listed if so uncheck it and apply. then reboot this should remove the bonjour service.

and like I said please dont blame me for any unwanted probs that might occur fron removing the bonjour service, I dont expect any but who knows. and do yourself a favor and rid your machine of itunes its the most intrusive program goin! It may play music but its really nothing more than a link to their store and it invades every bit of your computer.

Ok I dont know which version of GF you have but,

If you have GF platinum you have the option of installing GF for multiple players if you have gold the GF installer will not recognise any other player

so dont dump itunes unless you bought platinum.

If you have platinum I suggest winamp

out of all the players I have tried,( and I have tried all of them) On my Machine winamp is the one that has the least issues when using GF. right now there are no problems except Gf plugin will minimize when in fullscreen mode on a second monitor. but since you have platinum just use standalone and it wont be an issue.

this is why I suggest winamp to people who have trouble using GF with other players :D

I just don't get it

Post by frame »

Really it worked well 1 month ago.......what happened...should I just do Windows Media in the install program ? I used to only check this ....maybe my computer is retarted and can't make the difference between the two of the music players

Edit: AH it's fine ! I was right, I resinstalled everything with deleteing the files in the data like you said and I did before, but now I didn't check the box for the winamp installation only win media and my list is back ! Alright !

Thankz

Hm in fact when I tried to install the update .Yag file, not sure if i'm doing the right thing but then I can't see my things in the list, so the problem was the update that I downloaded....don't know which one to take. Though what's a YAG file ?
