Gforce 3.7.4 windows Background images issues

Post by chilledoutbob »

Hello, i,m trying to help my girlfriend out with a problem. I,m not sure if its her fault or G-forces. She bought Platinum G-force when it was out. She has installed it and she says it has been working fine except for one glitch which is there is no background image being loaded in. Neither the default background images or ones from a folder she created are appearing in G-force. Apparently there is a small error message that comes up in the top left corner of her screen that says

Loading error: "name of image"

This happens whenever she tries to load a background image or whenever G-foce tries to load a baackground image into the visual display. I haven't had time to have a look at it but she is fairly confident that she has done nothing but install G-force (i.e. she has not messed around with any settings and it was like that from the off) any suggestions ?

Hi bob

icbw but I think GF depends on quicktime to show background images, try installing the the basic quicktime package and see if this helps. but first update GF to 375

I have QT. But I had no idea you had to have it for BMPs, JPGs, etc. to work in GF.
