G-force problems after platinuim license renewal, Windows XP

I renewed my license and downloaded the updates and installed them. Now I am having problems with G-force.

G-force works as a screen saver.

G-force works on the V-bar mode.

G-force standalone does not work. I double click the icon and an hourglass appears for a few seconds then changes back to the arrow. No g-force.

I can get the G-force toolbar to appear by double clicking the icon, but I cannot get g-force running from there either.

On I-tunes 7.5.02 I try CTRL-T and the screen goes black... no G-force there either. In fact, I-tunes goes into a "NOT RESPONDING" mode.

On I-tunes 7.5.02 under the "View" menu, the options for CTRL 1,2,3,F are grayed out and I cannot select them.

I have tried reinstalling I-tunes and then reinstalling G-force. Same thing.

Help please!

I just tried G-force in Windows media player. It works, however I am getting the following error message...


"The toolbar failed to connect to G-Force in "Windows Media Player".

Firewalls and network security software can interfere with the toolbar's ability to establish a connection to G-Force. Try modifying your network secutiry settings in order to fix the problem.


Is this what is giving me the issues with running g-force standalone and also on I-tunes?

What settings do I need to change? How do I find them? etc..

this has worked for others so it may work for you.

uninstall GF

locate both soundspectrum folders and delete them both

one is located in program files and the other is in doc/settings/application data/ soundspectrum .

restart your compter and reinstall the new version.

I went into the firewall settings and found that g-force and g-force toolbar were being blocked. I unblocked them and things are working again.

Last thing for me to figure out now is how to get g-force displaying full screen for me.
