Track text and standalone version
Track text and standalone version
just wondering if anyone else had noticed this or not, the beta standalone isnt showing track text but the plugin is.? anyone?
gorus wrote:Actually, Standalone has never showed track text. There is no way for it to know what the name of the track is--it's just listening to the audio. The media player plugins, on the other hand, are able to get the track text from the media player.
I did not know this,
I used to use the plugin version all the time but always with the track text shut off. when I switched to using the standalone It never crossed my mind that it wouldnt show me track text because it was already shut off anyway, but since I was beta testing I was wondering why I didnt see any text.
thanks for the explanation gorus!
since I have your attention what about the V-bar pushing all the icons across my desktop after resizing it?
my desktop has about 50 icons on it and they are all set in custom groups. I have the icons hidden and only go to my desktop when necessary. its been a while and I had forgoten about this and after I tested the V-bar this time around I needed to go to my desktop and all the icons were nowhere near where they were and the align option only aligns them to the grid so I have to go and regroup the icons. its a pain.
any suggestions on this one?
thanks

Unfortunately, it's standard Windows functionality that the V-Bar uses. For example, take your Windows taskbar and make it take up 1/3 of your screen. You will see that it does the same exact thing as the V-Bar and shifts the icons. The only workaround is perhaps to put the V-Bar all the way on the right side of the screen, where you have perhaps less icons and the chances of icons shifting are less.
