g-force 3.5.4 causes sputter when changing volume

Post by Hypersky »

I used to have G-Force 3.1.3 platinum, and used it in iTunes for Windows 6.0.4.2, and everything was working fine. I use Windows XP Media Center Edition version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 : Service Pack 2). I also use a wireless mouse and keyboard from Microsoft.

I decided today to upgrade to the latest G-Force , wich happened to be 3.5.4 (966). Now , everytime g-force is running in iTunes, and I use either my media center remote or the +/- volume keys on my keyboard, g-force sputters to an almost dead stop, for as long as the "Volume" graphic bar shows on my screen. When the volume bar goes away, g-force starts behaving again. This never happened before today, when I still had G-Force 3.1.3.

Can anyonre help me fix this? Thanks a million!

Unfortunately, there's seems to be some pretty big performance issues caused by the remote control's on-screen feedback (GF 3.5 uses OpenGL, so there's probably some sort of conflict within Windows). I can't say there's a lot of hope in this matter b/c MS rarely if ever shows concerns for the "little guy".

Please post all your hardware details and info (both your CPU and graphics hardware info) in this thread. Also, try updating your graphics drivers to the latest version.

Thanks,
Andy
