Failed to load Audioscrobbler

Post by datdude »

Whenever a song ends in J. River Media Center 12.0.175 (the latest), G-force hangs and says the it failed to load Audioscrobbler. Why did it display that and how do I prevent that from happenning?

thanks

In the global properties file, set

net = 0

That solves the problem of g-force stalling J.River Media center. It is a visualization, what is it connecting to the net for?

IIRC it does that if you attempt (either deliberately or by accident) to access the Documentation while the program is running.

The Net thing isn't for what you think... G-Force uses the network layer to communicate with the Toolbar (which is normally local). However, for this to work, the G-Force engine needs to open itself on the network (albeit locally) in order for the toolbar to connect to it. If you set Net=0, the toolbar will be unable to connect to G-Force because the engine is waiting for a (local) connection.
