Images and Video

Post by keithanthony »

I can't get the installed Images and Video to function matter of fact despite a reinstall the entire GUI doesn't seem to do anything except whatever it likes but it is still pretty.

It seems to be running all on its own like a program without any other option!

The only thing that seems to respond is the button that takes screen shots.

The five slider buttons slide nicely up and down and that is it, no change happens to the screen unless I have been mesmerised by the hypnotic quality of the display and have tripped clean out of existence myself! lol

I am using MS Media Player 10 and Nvidea FX5200 card.

Thanks and Merry Christmas Season to all

Just made a third reinstall and now have some functionality from the GUI but still can't get any use out of the installed images and video so if anybody would like to describe to me what they look like I'd be grateful!

Thanks

Please update to G-Force 3.5.7 and report if you still have this problem (you shouldn't -- it's fixed). Please post to this thread either way if you can so we know its fixed for you.

Thanks,
And

Thanks for the reply.

I moved the software over to my main machine now which has a fully updated licensed Win XP, (the former has a bogus XP pro not fully updated nothing to do with me since I am only repairing it) and I can only assume I have the latest version G force since I only downloaded it at the weekend.

I did manage to get a brief burst of a video but mostly got reports on screen of "error" loading video. it seems to have a mind of it's own still.

It also seems very choosy about which picture/video files it will play. I have also found that changing the theme doesn't appear to do anything. Perhaps it requires a restart after changing a theme, but I did try that.

It is a shame that there isn't a comprehensive instruction book or help file to tell you little gems like you have to highlight in blue the pictures or video that you want to run. Surely it should not be necessary having hit the start button, to keep returning to it for another press? Or maybe "computer says NO!" or operator is either defective or expecting too much? lol

But it is still pretty and I look forward to having the use of it without either Bugs or operator error!

Is there a list of video formats that can be expected to run with G Force platinum?

Thanks to one an'all!

G-Force seems to favour MPG video files on my PC playing them without trouble! The trouble is I'm not getting my work done watching the V Bar! lol

I am running AMD Sempron 1.6Ghz onboard graphics with 1Gb Ddr Ram so I think a new graphics card is due to replace the one I donated to as an upgrade to a g/friends machine and I think that will sort any problems.

Any suggestions  for a better replacement for the former Geforce FX5200 card welcome!

I just downloaded Media Monkey and am I may be imagining it but G-Force works even better with Media Monkey!
