Storing extras

Post by Xenephon »

Once I download one of the extras (i.e. "Fields of Fire"), which folder do I stroe it in in order to use it? Do I have to do anything extra to utilize it?

WhiteCap's only Extras at this time are Screenshots. They do not provide any additional functionality at this time besides being user-submitted eye-candy posted for all to enjoy.

One cool thing you can do is, notice that on the "Fields of Fire" page, the configs that make up this Screenshot are:

WaveShape: Swinger
ColorScheme: Grilled
Background: MeshHorizon

So, you could manually bring up this combination in WhiteCap and save it as a preset.

In the future, SoundSpectrum may provide more features for WhiteCap Extras. For example, SoftSkies has Formations and Skies, which enhance and add to the user experience over the standard SoftSkies product (Formations that you download and stick into your Formations folder create different cloud shapes, and Skies are presets of custom cloud configurations).
