WhiteCap Slowdown On 2nd Monitor

Post by WickedSounz »

I am trying to get WhiteCap to run at full speed on a 2nd monitor (projector actually) but when I move the window across, it slows to a snails pace.

If I max the window, it minimises away whenever I select any other program.

I am using a fairly high spec machine with a Radeon X1650Pro 512Mb graphics card, so the spec should support the software, but no matter what I try, it does not seem to like been run on a second monitor.

I have no such problem with G-Force (other than that wont run in true full screen either, but we all know there is a problem there).

Does anyone out there or at SoundSpectrum have any suggestions? Or is there work in progress on fixing this issue. It seems that more people are wanting this facility and I think it should be high up on the "to do" list.

Cheers.
Paul.

I dont know about whitecap but what problem do you have with GF in fullscreen mode?

I have no problems running GF in true fullscreen with either the plugin or standalone.

are you running the lastest versions of both progs?

Both versions are current & up to date.

I can get them both to run full screen. However, when you select any other software to use on the primary monitor, the full screen minimises to the bar and is no longer visible on the 2nd monitor.

ok thats better, the plugin does do this but since I use the standalone which doesnt I forgot about that.

I did send andy an email about this but it was a couple weeks ago, I hope he has a fix for you soon.

Hmmm, very strange my standalone does not minimize like the plugin.

I use the standalone almost exclusively because winamp is such a resource hog that I dont want to bog it down any further by starting another process within winamp i.e. GF plugin.

I am a beta tester and havent seen any new versions to test in a while and I am patiently waiting for the next update.

I really like GF and want it to run as smooth as possible.
