I'm using G-Force Platinum v3.9.3 StandAlone on a PC and would like to adjust the framerate to try and hit 60Hz.
I'm using a 3.5Ghz i7 with a GTX-680 video card running a projector at only 720p. I think the computer should have no trouble with that resolution at 60FPS.
In the config file:
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\SoundSpectrum\G-Force\Preferences (Standalone).txt
I see the target framerate:
TargetFrameRate = 33
When I change that to 60 and run G-Force the r key tells me at first that it is up near/over 60 but then quickly falls back to 33.
I find that every time I close G-Force it updates the preferences file and sets the value back to 33. Yes, I make sure G-Force is closed before editing the file, save it and run the program and on exit it always resets the value.
I also tried making the preferences file read-only which does keep it from getting changed, but while the program is running it always drops back down to 33.
Is there another configuration file or something that is overriding the value I specify?

If you want to make chages to the prefs file you have to do it while G-force isnt running, If you make changes while running GF it will always revert to the original state after you close G-force.
Also have you tried the slider on the toolbar to increase the frame rate?
If not look at the two sliders on the right hand side of the G-force toolbar and push the top slide all the way to the right. this will increase the frame rate to the limit.
to see the frame rate run G-force in verbose mode (hit slash "" ) and then hit the "R" key and and you will see the report in the upper left corner of the G-force window.
