G-Force and FL Studio?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if it was possible to get this program to react to what I play live on FL Studio. This way the visualizer will react to whatever I play on guitar or piano, live!
Possible or no possible?

when running G-Force right click the screen and then look under audio input source and look for "what you hear" or "line in" if you dont see these oprions listed try opening the windows volume mixer and and click properties and look under playback , place a check in the box for the options you want . do the same for recording.

Take a look at my settings that you specified. I can't get G-Force to react to my media player, or FL Studio.juxtiphi wrote:when running G-Force right click the screen and then look under audio input source and look for "what you hear" or "line in" if you dont see these oprions listed try opening the windows volume mixer and and click properties and look under playback , place a check in the box for the options you want . do the same for recording.

My FL Studio is also set to that sound card..

I was assuming you had a regular sound card, as i understand it, a usb audio codec is usded for connecting an external source like a turn table or tape deck to your computer. I have no idea how software like fruity loops would need an external device for outout.xnocturnalsoulx wrote:Take a look at my settings that you specified. As far as I know fruity loops should see the sound card which came with the computer and thats what it should be using. do you know what type of audio your comp has? i.e. onboard audio or does it have its own removable sound card?

Yeah, so basically I have an external USB sound card (that I can hook up my guitar to) called a Tascam US-100. The proper name for these devices is Audio Interface, but it's basically an external USB sound card with inputs.
I rely on this USB device for 100% of my sound.
My goal was to get G-Force visualizer to react to the music I play through my instruments. But now that I see it, I can't even get the G-Force V-Bar to react to the mp3s I load and play. G-Force seems to only react to music if it's set as a Visualizer in Windows Media Player that is playing an mp3. But the V-Bar can't seem to be able to react to the sound that I play through any mp3 player. Is this normal?

You have a Tascam-Us100?wallter wrote:Got one of these... it works. You should go to Sound tab, click on Recording tab and set Microphone or Line (USB Sound device) for default.
My sound > recording settings are here:

It was already set as the default, all I added additionally was check the "listen to this device" checkbox.
Still not working ..

Is the V-Bar meant to only react to sounds it hears over a mic or something? The instruments I'm trying to play are directly plugged into my computer and play their sounds through my PC speakers with programs like FL Studio and Guitar pro.

How do I adjust the V-Bar audio input settings?
You can select the V-Bar audio source and sensitivity by right-clicking on the V-Bar and then selecting from the appropriate selections (On Mac OS, use the V-Bar settings window). The audio input sources listed are several "Sound Generator" modes (which simulate a sound source) followed by sources supplied by your hardware. On Windows, there typically is a "stereo mix" audio source that allows the V-Bar to react to the sound produced by other applications on your computer. Please note that you may need to increase the audio source's output volume level in order to see a visual response in the V-Bar (you can also increase the V-Bar's "Audio Sensitivity" settings to boost the V-Bar's audio reactivity).

Hello xnocturnalsoulx
A technical answer this is NOT. You could cycle through all the WaveShapes making a list of those that respond best to your music then either delete all the others or better still Cut and Paste them into a new folder and call it something like Unused WaveShapes, that way you have them should you need them again.
