Motion Backgrounds
If you put an animated .gif file in the sprites folder, will it animate in G-Force or only show the first frame? If it does, that is awesome. If not, it would be awesome. Another cool thing would to include video support to display short movie clips behind all the effects and stuff.

I'm prolly misunderstanding your point here but...
You can already put movie files into your sprites folder (Matter of fact, it's been a feature of G-force *long* before the Gold version first came out); it's just that I'm not sure how long they can be. Also, the only file currently supported is QuickTime. I'm not sure if there're any plans to include other formats (i.e. .wmf or .ram).
What the deal is with animated .gifs I'm not so sure, though. Maybe someone else who's tries it can steer you in the right direction.
