just upgraded now I have no hotkeys in WMP, so I guess I'll go back to 3.5.6, this is getting old!!!
And by the way, why does g-force need to connect to the internet? I have auto updates and control via network turned off.

Re: Back to 3.5.6
This is listed in the version history. WMP key support is broken (WMP often steals keyboard focus away from the vis), so there were lots of people who would think G-Force was broken and not getting keystrokes (when we unforutnately have no control over it). Also, WMP doesn't handle unused keystrokes properly, so that has impacts the user experience (for example, play a song in WMP, go fullscreen with G-Force 3.5.6, click once on G-Force to give it focus, then press escape -- you see WMP not handle the unused ESC keystroke properly).RSL_Mongoose wrote: And by the way, why does g-force need to connect to the internet? My best recommendation is to file a bug report with MS or to use a different media player. Unfortunatly, please understand that I'm just the messenger here.
G-Force and the G-Force Toolbar use the network layer to communicate. Other than that, G-Force will go to soundspectrum-updates.com (if you if 'check for updates' enabled). Other than that, there's no non-local network use. It's on our to-do list to implement inter-process communication (to replace use of the network layer), and this is scheduled before Jan-Feb. Unfortunately, this new age of malware has made apps that make legitimate use of the network layer evil by association. If want to disable G-Force listening on the network, set Net=0 in your global prefs (but the toolbar won't be able to connect).RSL_Mongoose wrote:And by the way, why does g-force need to connect to the internet? Funny I never have had a problem using keystrokes in WMP, whether it goes full screen or not its always worked for me. I don't consider WMP broken.
Its ashamed that you have taken this out, you should still make it an option for those of us whom it worked for. After all the ones who were having problems with the feature didn't have to use it.
