Show lyrics inside G–Force (only for Mac users and iTunes)

Post by zislaweng »

If your like me and enjoy watching G-Force in fullscreen and ever wanted to see the songtext saved inside your song in iTunes while G-Force is active, here's a little applescript I've written, that will do this nice thing for you.
All it does is extract the songtext of currently playing title and write it down in a G-Force-Script file (by default CTRL 9.txt), starting that right away... Clearly you should start G-Force before starting this script.

If you'd like to change certain parameters like fontsize and the time lyrics are visible, simply open the program inside Skripteditor and change the commented variables at the begining of the script.

One thing to notice at the end, as it's only possible to activate G-Force scripts if G-Force is in fullscreen mode, you must assign a keyboard shortcut to my applescript in order to start it while in fullscreen... As I'm having a Logitech keyboard, I simply assigned one of my media keys to it via Logitech ControlCenter, but if you're having a normal apple keyboard you probably need some extra peace of software like fastscripts or quicksilver, if you find an easier way of starting it while in fullscreen, please let me know...

Last but not least, if you find this tool phenomenal 8) but don't have any lyrics saved for your songs, check out this great peace of software: pearLyrics

And now enjoy the show...
