G-Force 3.x Not Reading Files from Certain Text Editors??

Post by JayPro »

Whn I was playing with both the betas and release versions of these newer versions, I've noticed that the config fliles I've drawn up using Microsoft Word usually don't appear in the config/particle pull-down lists.

Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?

Short of deleting MW altogether, I'd be willing to re-DL the current version to make sure of this.

How are you saving the files as "text only" files or "rich text" etc. I don't know the Mac but on a PC you have a choice of .txt with a warning popup that you will lose your 'formatting' and .rtf which has control characters etc for bold and stuff.

Well, when I work in MW for Mac, the default text file format is .doc, just in case you don't know.

My father, who occasionally works with this stuff also, told me that the best way to convert it as closely to a G-Force-readable text file as possible is to re-save it as MS-DOS text.

And so I did.
