I dont use j river but it sounds to me like G-force is set to start automatically when j river plays music. check all the options in J river and make sure its not telling G-force to open automatically. this behavior can be seen in WMP, if you leave GF selected in the vis window the next time WMP starts so will GF.
if thats doesnt help uninstall GF completely delete soundspectrum folder from program files and the other found in the application data folder in your documents.
make sure you have the latest version or J river and of GF restart your comp and reinstall.
G-Force Toolbar problem - "Failed to Connect"

There is no option in J River telling the toolbar to start, but it still does. As I said, the option within the Toolbar Preferences is correct as well. A complete uninstall did not help either.
I wouldn't even mind if the Toolbar started minimized in the system tray, but because of the 2 error messages that pop up every time I play a file, I just want it completely gone. Ugh.

very strange I just downloaded jriver and G-f is making it crashsakau2007 wrote:There is no option in J River telling the toolbar to start, but it still does. As I said, the option within the Toolbar Preferences is correct as well. A complete uninstall did not help either.

try switching to another vis shut down j river and restart to see if GF still start automatically
When I changed to a different visualization and restarted MC and played a song, GF didn't start up automatically. When I changed the visualization back to GForce, the problem returned.juxtiphi wrote:very strange I just downloaded jriver and G-f is making it crashsakau2007 wrote:There is no option in J River telling the toolbar to start, but it still does. how new is the latest version of jriver? if it came out after the last version of GF they may have changed the way the program handles the visuals and GF may need to be updated again to make it work propperly within the parameters of jriver.
if you have an older version of Jriver try installing it and see if Gf works if it does then GF will need to be updated for sure
the version is about 6 months old. the build is within the last couple of weeks; i don't have an older build to test it out on. i don't think anything in recent builds has changed to where it would cause this problem to occur, but i will ask the developers if it is a possibility. thanks for your help!juxtiphi wrote:sakau2007 wrote:When I changed to a different visualization and restarted MC and played a song, GF didn't start up automatically. we'll I'm no expert so jriver may not be the culprit but its not working for me and that stinks I use winamp and GF works well 98% of the time but if I were a regular user of Jriver I would be bummed out
