Hello strumsky
Have hit a brick wall with this subject. Uninstalling SoundSpectrum products is a simple procedure, it is however important to remove folders left behind after uninstalling. I know the location of the folders in XP and W7, but do not know their location in Vista or W8 and certainly not for MAC's.
Should anyone know the location of SoundSpectrum folders after uninstalling one of their products using Vista, W8 or Mac's please help.

Hello cwoolrich
Thank you for your reply, here is the problem:
SoundSpectrum does indeed create a Folder in Program Files, but also (in XP for example) creates another folder in C:\ Documents and Settings \ Your Name \ Application Data \ SoundSpectrum and C:\ Documents and Settings \ Your Name \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ SoundSpectrum. You need to have show hidden folders checked.

I think you're OK with Macs. Shouldn't have the problem about scattered folders with the Mac OS, since the installation is so different. And, on a Mac, there is no "uninstall" or "Remove Program" -- it's just deleting files and they are all located in one subdirectory folder named the same as the program one is wishing to remove... Using the procedure described in my above quote (home/Library/Application Support/SoundSpectrum) from the FAQ here.
If one follows directions, as in a baking recipe, it shouldn't be difficult. (Ah, there's the rub...)
Hope others can help with the other formats. Best of luck!
The second file location (where all your prefs are stored) in W8 is: C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Roaming\SoundSpectrum
This data in OS X is stored here:
~/Library/Preferences/SoundSpectrum/
The content and engine data in OS X is stored here:
~/Library/Application Support/SoundSpectrum/
This information is in the FAQ, as strumsky pointed out:
-https://www.soundspectrum.com/g-force/f ... engine_dir
-https://www.soundspectrum.com/g-force/faq.html#user_dir
I hope it was helpful! And just to clear stuff up, this isn't necessary for just SoundSpectrum products, but is just good practice for installation/un-installation of any program.
