Stps and NUM question

Post by pooky »

I had a wild idea to use the audio access values in the "Stps" and "NUM" parameters. To see if this was possible i looked at many waveshape configs, but didn't find any using this idea. I decided to try it anyway, using variations of these parameters ...

Stps="BASS*100"
Stps="BASS+fft(s)*300"
Stps="fft(s)*500"
Stps="BASS*B0*300"

Nothing fatal happened, in fact, i got different acceptable effects with each variation. I haven't had a chance to try this with the "NUM" parameter yet. Am i just whistling in the wind, or is such a thing feasible?

Thanks for any advice.

It's a little to complicated for me to describe; but if you have a Waveshape called Examle Spectrum, read the slashed-out comments concerning NUM and Steps and it may help you understand better.
