Toolbar & Framerate

Post by Orwell »

The framerate takes a nose dive ONLY when the toolbar is open in Platnum.

Any suggestions/? I tried searching to no avail.

Pic of CPU usage.

Post by Orwell »

This is insane. The plateau and the spikes occured only when the toolbar was open. 100% CPU usage and was so choppy the sound from mp3 playback became intermittant.

This means it is absolutely impossible for me to mess around with flowfields, colormaps, ect.Image

I have a p4 3.2ghz processor and an x800pro.

I don't see why this program doesn't utilize my video card. I don't understand.

G-Force does utilize OpenGL, which your video card supports. G-Force toolbar doesn't because it doesn't need to. Please e-mail support as we would like to troubleshoot this issue and help you. It would be helpful if you included the screen resolution you're using, whether you're using a media player or standalone version, and whether there is a noticeable difference between just G-Force running and G-Force+toolbar running.

just at a quick glance....

I'd say you need to trim off some of the background process, your running 49 active at an idle. I am running G-force on a 1gig CPU with 1 gig Ram with only 9 process at idle, (this does not include the taskman or media player) all my transitions seem as smooth as silk. CPU does not peak above 73%.
