Full Screen Mode

Post by Aussie_M2010 »

When I select Full Screen Mode on WMP 11 the buttom WMP band is staying on the screen. The top disappears, as does the XP task bar. I have to use the G-Force Full Screen command to make the lower band disappear.

This was not the case until after I used the GF command the first time - prior to that the WMP Full Screen command worked properly and both WMP bands disappeared.

Any suggestion? I am not really a shortcut key person and actually use the MCE remote a lot, so am nowhere near the keyboard.

If you leave it sit for a few seconds, the bottom bar should dissappear also...

That's what happens on my machine here at the moment anyways...

WMP 11 / GF 3.5.6

It seems a bit intermittant actually. One out of say 6 times it will disappear, other times I can leave it for 5 minutes and it stays there.

Mind you, I found the Enter key, and that works from the remote too, so it is all good at the moment - just curious really.

I have this running at max frame rate, max responsiveness, res of 1680 x 1050 - so perhaps it is just a little slow on the thought processes sometimes!

Maybe so...that's a lot of data to shuffle about isn't it...

WMP indeed does have unusual behavior when it comes to all its resizing after a few secs of being idle. I believe you can enable and disable those "features" with one of the little buttons they have everywhere... I personally don't like WMP because of all that stuff--it drives me nuts.

The upgrade also seems to have improved this somewhat - the switch to complete full screen is faster now.

Thanks.
