From my reading, I understand that Themes are a way of saving a collection of the three elements that one wants to play and excluding the ones not required for a particular mood.
Trying this out, I selected the Mellow theme that installs with GF.
I have the toolbar up so I can see what is happening. G-Force still selects and displays/uses unticked WaveShapes, FlowFields and ColourMaps.
I assume this is "user error" , so what am I not doing that I should be doing?
Are you running it standalone, or as a plugin with your media player?
I'm just testing it standalone, and have the toolbar open, Mellow theme selected, with the "Waveshapes, Colormaps, and Flowfields" panel dropped down, and it seems to be skipping over the unticked ones to me...
Of course, one person's interpretation of Mellow might not be anothers...
I'm a wondering....I believe that maybe GF doesn't listen to theme selections if you're playing music...ie. it's trying to repond to the music you are currently playing.
Maybe the theme stuff only works when you're playing standalone...

Hmmm..just been reading the doc on themes, and you are right...maybe it's some weird interaction with WMP. What version of WMP are you on?
Yes, I knew about playing it with other audio, but even that is with music, so that would exclude load being an issue. I also tried changing the Theme BEFORE starting anything playing - no change.
Will have to wait and see if any others are experiencing the same thing I guess and whether it is just WMP 11 or some other media apps are having the same.

If the Themes don't work, then there is not much point in creating my own.
We need to determine if this is in fact a bug, or if it is something to do with my particular install.
I don't not like any of them in particular - I just want to be able to categorise them appropriately.
Please see if G-Force 3.5.7 still exhibits these issues and let us know. A couple things were fixed that may have resolved the problem.
