iTunes 7.0 Windows PC GForce will not operate in Fullscreen

iTunes 7.0 Windows PC GForce will not operate in Fullscreen
Reinstalled GForce as it would not work at all with iTunes 7.0. Now it will operate but not in full screen mode. Any suggestions?

I've just posted on 7 and then came back to find you post.
After upgrading to 7, my laptop ground down to a crawl if I tried to run GForce.
I didn't consider reinstalling GF as I've never done so before when moving from one iTunes version to the next. Perhaps I should have?
I'm back on iT6 now and everything is back to normal.
To be honest I was a little disappointed by iT7. The install process chucked out most of my preferences which is a little irksome and why did they decide to remove the visualiser button from the bottom corner of the app?

If you decide to go back to iT6 you'll experience a library incompatability problem. Fortunately iT7 backups the version 6 library during install so you'll need to switch .itl files.
I'd be interested to know if others are experiencing problems and how they're dealing with it?

Meant to say that when I installed 7 and tried to run GForce, initially it was just within the library window, so I just pressed return and it went full screen.
Either way the music and visualiser felt as though the PC had just switched to a mid 90's PC simulation.

I have been using iTunes (for Windows), with G-Force without any problems. There is a difference in the way that iTunes handles visualisations - you have to press CTRL+F to go full screen.
Also, I have not noticed a slow-down.
I would like to know if it is possible to bring up the help menu though. When I press 'H', nothing happens.

GForce still doesn't operate full screen in iTunes 7.0
The iTunes version I am referring is 7.0 and the GForce version 356.
Help seems to now be launched from the toolbar vs. "H"
CTRL+F is the same and does not support GForce playing in full screen mode with the above versions on my Windows XP machine. Still looking for suggestions?

iTunes 7 and GForce problems
I've re-examined the problem on my desktop PC. (1Ghz AMD, 1GB Ram, Win XP)
This had iT6.0.5 and GF3.5.5 on it. No problems.
Installed iT7. Selectd GF visualiser and started it up. Start up logo appeared in the library window and then nothing. Pressed return to get GF in full scrren mode and get a blck screen. Nothing happening at all.
The one difference between this and the laptop however is that the music playback is not slowed or stuttered, just no visuals?
Decide to install GF3.5.6, so shutdown iT7 and run the install program.
All seems to go smoothly.
Fire up iT7. Start up GF and again the music is fine but now the visuals fail to load at all. The screen goes black for a brief second then iT7 and the desktop returns.
So seem to be at a bit of an impass here.
To be honest iT7 doesn't seem a particularly compelling upgrade so I guess I'll stick to iT6 but I'm surprised that my two attempts have failed whereas Markdym has it running fine? (Mark you are using iT7 yes?)
As for key returns for GF and iT (for iT6 combo anyway) h brings up the help menu fine. The only problem I've experienced with iT/GF when it come to key strokes is you can't use the Ctrl key to save or call up scripts. Any Ctrl combo closes GF.
Any thoughts folks?

with every new release or update of a player ( itunes, WMP, foobar ect...)G-Force may also need to be updated to work within the new players specs.delboy wrote:can confirm exactly same symptoms as Nuytsia - updated iTunes yesterday from version 6.0.5 to 7.0.0.70 - audio no problems but cannot get GForce 3.5.6 working in full-screen mode - other modes are fine.

Toolbar problem
An interesting collection of problems and behaviors here.
My problem is that I am unable to get the toolbar to load automatically on my PC running XP, iTunes 7 and GF 3.5.6. The toolbar loads automatically in Windows Media Player but not in iTunes even after several re-installs.
In iTunes, Ctrl-T starts GF in full screen mode and Ctrl-F will switch to the library view window. Clicking the full screen view exits GF and restores the library listing and clicking the GF display in the library view minimizes the toolbar (once it has been loaded.) The GF hot keys only work in the library view which is just fine with me. In fact the GF program is awesome; I just wish I could get the toolbar to load automatically.
