record the visual in WMP? What I have done is merged a few mp3 files together and would like to save this as a file to email to a few friends...

I hear that too...
I also hear that SoundSpectrum is currently looking for a Windows developer, and this will be one of their first projects.

What I have done successfully is record it to a vcr then replay the tape and ecode it that way the only problem is the quality...

I realize this is a tad off color, but I'll say it anyway... A new mac mini is $600. Given that it can dual boot Windows and Mac OS X, it makes it a pretty wise choice for new/next computer (assuming you're not a gamer).

What you hear is absolutely right
.
I suppose that instead of a VCR, one could capture to a DVD recorder, for better quality.
