Transparent Track Info Overlay?

Post by Psyffer23 »

I've just installed Beta Version 3.5b5 and all my problems have mostly been solved: No more crashing JRiver Media Center and the track info stays visible from song to song. Thanks. I do have one problem though. The new way of displaying the album art and track info is an overlay area that blocks most of the great G-Force visuals in my current MC View. I love those visuals. Is there anyway the track info overlay can be transparent so I can see them again?

track text overlay

I've been using jriver too, and am glad to confirm that this latest iteration is indeed compatible. To solve the overlay problem (and I guess they did this in response to complaints about the track info being hard to read) go to the toolbar, click on the bar that says visualization preferences. In the middle right there is a window labeled "track text layer". Choose "blend with visuals always".

Yes, that works except, as you mention, the info is completely unreadable most of the time and much more importantly to me, you lose the album art.
