video to TV converters

Post by Woody »

I would like to view G-force on my 30" TV. What converter do you all use? How does it look. I've found converters priced as low as $40 and the prices go up from there. I'm using XP home.
Thanks,
Woody

depending on the outputs you have on your video card you might not need any converter...
do you have a tv out? composite or s-video
then it's just a matter of finding the right cable/adapter (s-video/scart/composite...)

:( No I don't. I'm looking for a stand alone converter.
thanks,

I don't have experience with standalone converters
but some cheap videocards have a video out!
less wires, boxes, compliances, power supplies....
my personnal choice would be a new video card
now if you already have a quadro I understand you don't want to change ;o)

Scan convertors are the thing you are after taking a VGA connector and converting it for TV (PAL/NTSC)

They can range from cheap to tens of thousnads of pounds for broadcast ones. and you get what you pay for in general.

Woody,

You might try AverMedia.com for what you are looking for.
I bought one of their VGA to NTSC (?) converters and ran an RCA cable from the converter to a 36" Sony TV and G-Force comes in beautifully. The unit I purchased is the AverKey Micro.

Good Luck.

Can someone help this newbie out? I have installed a licensed G-Force Platinum software and was told by the makers that I could run it on a remote TV. I am running Vista/Winamp and am using an extended desktop on other app's. for the same pupose and they work fine. I can't seem to find any way of configing G-Force to play on a remote TV. I have 2 outputs on my laptop. 1 SVGA and 1 S-Video and neither will work, however,I don't think the cable is the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?

I run GF on my tv all the time with no problems,

make sure all the setting match, refresh rate, screen resolutions also
make sure your video drivers are up to date and have the settings set properly.

if you still have a problem open a support ticket with soundspectrum
